Mr. Blaskovich concentrates his practice on business and real estate matters, and general litigation with an emphasis in creditors’ rights for the states of Indiana and Illinois. He has extensive transactional and litigation experience in a variety of practice areas, including matters involving: negotiating, drafting, and litigating loan documents, commercial and residential leases, commercial and residential real property foreclosures, mechanics’ liens, receiverships, commercial loan workouts, collateral replevins, legal pleadings, memoranda, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements, the sale and purchase of commercial and residential real estate and business assets, negotiating and drafting asset purchase/sale agreements, management agreements, liquor license renewal, transfers, land-sale contracts, promissory notes, mortgages, collateral/security agreements, guaranty agreements, and conducting due diligence, resolving issues through closing/final disposition of real estate/assets, Uniform Commercial Code matters, commercial and consumer collections in both state and federal courts in the states of Indiana and Illinois; and general bankruptcy representation.  Mr. Blaskovich represents and counsels commercial and consumer banks, financial firms, lenders, REITS, limited liability companies, partnerships, investors, landlords, and other businesses in their commercial transactions and litigation in Indiana and Illinois state and federal civil and bankruptcy courts.

Representation includes negotiating and drafting purchase/sale/lease agreements for businesses, real estate, commercial loan documentation, workouts/forbearance agreements, and documentation for transactions involving secured debt.  Experienced in commercial and consumer creditors’ rights litigation involving secured and unsecured debt, mortgage and mechanic’s lien foreclosures, receiverships, sheriff sales, replevins, commercial ejectments/evictions.  Bankruptcy representation includes reaffirmation agreements, stay relief, proofs of claim, Section 363 sales, non-dischargeability adversary proceedings, and objections to plans.

Education

Mr. Blaskovich received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1992 where he majored in Economics. In 1996, he received his Juris Doctor Degree from the John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois.
